Introduction

The so-called CCC certification refers to the mandatory product certification system in China, also known as China Compulsory Certification or abbreviated as CCC (abbreviated as 3C certification). As the authoritative "CCC" certification that combines National Security Certification (CCEE), Import Safety and Quality Licensing System (CCIB), and China Electromagnetic Compatibility Certification (EMC), it is an advanced symbol of China's General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine and the National Certification and Accreditation Administration in line with international standards, and has irreplaceable importance.

Any product listed in the 3C certification product catalog that is not certified as qualified by the 3C certification agency and sold in China without authorization is considered a criminal act and shall bear corresponding administrative penalties and legal risks.

The necessity of CCC certification

1. 3C certification is a mandatory certification and a passport to enter the domestic market; CCC is a mandatory certification in China. If sold domestically, it mainly depends on whether your company's products are included in the 3C mandatory catalog. If you are here, you must obtain 3C certification. Having 3C certification can enhance the recognition of a company's products. If the product is exported with a 3C certification mark, it can reduce certain items of export testing.

2. Products and companies with 3C certification are easily recognized, enhancing customer confidence, shaping corporate image, and increasing visibility. Products without 3C certification are difficult to buy.

3. The frequency of post certification supervision (annual review) is generally once a year, and once every six months for toy categories.

Certification Fee

1. Application fee: 500 yuan;

2. Registration fee: 800 yuan;

3. Product testing fee: Different products and testing standards require specific evaluation based on the product;

4. Factory inspection fee: charged at a rate of 2500 yuan/person/day. Factories with less than 100 people will dispatch 2 supervisory auditors, while factories with more than 100 people will dispatch 3 or more supervisory auditors. This link also involves personnel round-trip transportation expenses, accommodation expenses, etc.

5. Agency service fee: Agency companies usually charge a certain agency service fee for handling 3C certification. The proxy services include: certification application, data organization and submission, progress tracking, factory audit guidance, assistance in system document production, factory inspection follow-up and cooperation, abnormal feedback and resolution, follow-up reports and other services.

·Certification processing cycle

The processing cycle for 3C certification generally takes about 2 months.

·Certificate validity period

The validity period of the 3C certification certificate is five years. During the five-year validity period of the certificate, as long as the manufacturer undergoes annual factory inspection (annual audit) every year.

·3C derived

3C derivative is designed to meet the needs of independent 3C certificates for manufacturers' distributors or partners. The cost of derivative sub certificates is relatively low, and the processing time only takes 2-3 weeks. The cost is also greatly reduced, without the need for retesting and factory inspection.

Attention: The factory information on the certificate cannot be changed. The main certificate will be suspended or cancelled, and the secondary certificate will also become invalid.

·Application for 3C certification for imported products

Products and goods that are included in the 3C certification catalog and used for commercial purposes such as sales or profit-making activities require 3C certification. For civilian purposes such as scientific research, exhibitions, teaching, samples, etc., exemption from 3C certification can be applied for.

Due to the need for factory inspection for 3C certification, the cost of obtaining 3C certification for imported products from abroad will be much higher.
