FCC
NRTL stands for Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory, which is an abbreviation for National Recognized Testing Laboratory. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) under the US Department of Labor requires that products used in the workplace must be tested and certified by a nationally recognized laboratory to ensure the personal safety of users. In North America, manufacturers who legally sell products for civilian or industrial use in the market must undergo strict testing in accordance with national standards. Only by passing the relevant tests of the National Recognized Laboratory (NRTL) can the product be legally sold in the market.
The National Recognized Testing Laboratory (NRTL) is a third-party organization that certifies products for the North American market. NRTL is recognized by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) under the US Federal Code 29 CFR 1910.7 to provide safety testing and certification services for products used in workplaces in the United States. In Canada, only certification bodies accredited by the Standards Council of Canada (SCC) can provide such services.

Meaning of NRTL
Just like China's CCC certification, it is a mandatory safety certification for products sold in North American countries. However, unlike CCC certification which is highly mandatory and does not have a unified certification logo, there are only 16 testing laboratories authorized by the US Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). Manufacturers who legally sell products for civilian or industrial use in the market must undergo strict testing in accordance with US national standards.
NRTL certification is more helpful in enhancing the brand awareness of enterprises in related industries and markets in North America, guiding consumers to choose products that meet safety requirements and satisfy themselves. By inspecting the structure of the product and conducting relevant tests, we can effectively protect the safety and health of consumers, increase customer satisfaction, and thus gain a larger market.
