Introduction

For controlled products exported to Morocco, they must comply with Morocco's technical regulations and standards, and obtain a COC certificate in order to smoothly clear customs and enter the Moroccan market. For controlled products that require applying for and obtaining a COC certificate before export, traders must verify the controlled products before export and obtain a COC compliance certification certificate to verify that the products comply with local technical regulations and standards in Morocco.

Previously, Morocco implemented a transitional policy: for some products that did not obtain COC compliance certification before export, the Moroccan government accepted inspection and verification upon arrival at the port. This transitional policy will end on December 31, 2020.

Identification requirements

To prove that the product complies with Morocco's technical regulations and standards, guide consumers in purchasing, and help the government strengthen effective control, technical products subject to Law No. 24-09 can only enter the Moroccan market smoothly by affixing clear CMim logos.

According to regulations 2573-14 (Electrical Safety), 2574-14 (Compatibility of Electric Strip Card Tracks), 2575-14 (Toy Safety), and 3228-13 (Marking), mandatory CMim labeling requirements are implemented for electrical and toy products.

Identification requirements:

1. The CMim logo should be displayed on the product with a minimum height of 6mm;

If the product is too small to meet the requirement of 6mm, the CMim logo can be placed on the outer packaging or instruction manual (in a sturdy and non fragile form such as silk screen printing or stickers);

3. The CMim logo can be viewed on the MICEVIN website.
