Introduction

The Argentine ENACOM certification is a mandatory certification for wireless and telecommunications products. All devices connected to the public telecommunications network and using radio frequency bands are required to apply for ENACOM certification. For the export of wireless communication products to Argentina, it is required to apply for ENACOM certification. The original regulatory unit for wireless certification in Argentina was CNC, which was later changed to AFTIC and then to ENACOM after 2015.

Certification Type

There are two forms of authentication available

Homologaci ó n (Argentine standard certification) or Codelicaci ó n (recognized certification in the absence of standards).

Applicable product scope

The vast majority of telecommunications line terminal equipment and RF equipment require testing work.

·All terminal devices connected to the public telephone network;

·Low power spread spectrum communication products operating in the 2.4-2.4835 GHz frequency band;

·The vast majority of wireless devices.

Application Process

1. Send samples for testing in Argentina

2. No need for factory inspection

3. Certificate holder: Argentine importer

4. One model, one certificate

5. One trademark, one certificate

6. Certificate validity period: 3 years

7. Certification cycle: 12-14 weeks (calculated from the time the sample arrives at the Argentine laboratory for testing and complete documentation)

Note: Argentine importers or distributors must complete ENACOM registration to obtain the certificate

1. The output power must comply with all of the following test items:

Conducted power: 500mW (PK)

Radiated power: EIRP, 43dBm (PK) and 40dBm (AV)

Power density: EIRP, 13dBm/MHz (AV)

2. The antenna gain value needs to be adjusted to meet the above output power requirements.

3. Restricted for indoor use.

The FCC/CE test reports issued by relevant laboratories will be available for certification applications.
