
Introduction
ANATEL certification in Brazil is a certification for telecommunications products, and all telecommunications products and accessories must obtain ANATEL certification in order to be legally commercialized and used in Brazil.
ANATEL certification is divided into two types: mandatory and voluntary certification. The approval process is the same for both domestic and foreign products in Brazil. If the product requires mandatory certification, the test results and reports of the product must be consistent with the rules and regulations adopted by ANATEL. The product needs to obtain an authorization certificate issued by ANATEL before being put into use.

ANATEL Certification Basic Information
·Compulsory certification;
·Local testing is required;
·Local representatives are needed;
·Type I certificates are valid until cancelled, while the other two types of certificates are valid for two years;
·The processing cycle is 8-10 weeks.
Mandatory certification category
Three types of telecommunications equipment require mandatory certification:
Type I
·Terminal devices connected to the Fixed Switching Telephone Service (FSTS) network through endpoints;
·Devices that connect private telecommunications networks to FSTS networks;
·A device that connects to the FSTS network for the purpose of providing value-added services.
Includes: mobile phone, satellite phone, VOIP phone, mobile phone battery, mobile phone charging cable, phone signal cable, modem.
Type II
·Any equipment using radio that is not covered by Type I, such as low-voltage devices, unauthorized equipment, and antennas.
Includes: TV and radio antennas, receivers, transmitters, wireless network equipment, RF automation equipment.
Type III
·Any equipment regulated by ANATEL's rules and regulations that is not covered by Type I or II.
Including fiber optic cables, cable connectors, and mobile network signal transmitters.
Note: Certificate validity period: 2 years for Class I, 2 years for Class II, and 3 years for Class III.

1. The customer submits samples and materials to NTEK;
2. Laboratory sample testing, issuance of testing report after completion of testing

Certificate Information

Certification Notice
1. ANATEL currently does not have a direct certification agency in China, and all certifications must be done in Brazil;
2. The application and holder of ANATEL certification must be a local Brazilian enterprise, which can be a subsidiary, importer, distributor, or authorized agent of the manufacturer in Brazil;
3. The user manual, installation guide, and warning signs must be in Portuguese. Other documents can be in English;
4. The product must have an identification plate containing the following information: ANATEL logo certification number (barcode); Manufacturer's name; Manufacturing year; model; Serial number; Distributor's registration number.
5. According to ANATEL's requirements, a special label is required to be affixed to the battery, which cannot be printed by the manufacturer and must be purchased from official Brazilian institutions by local distributors in Brazil.
Other
1. All products listed by ANATEL require certification;
2. The certificate/authorization holder (importer, manufacturer) must be confirmed by Brazilian law;
3. Type I certificates are valid until cancelled, while the other two types of certificates are valid for two years;
4. The user manual, installation guide, and warning signs must be in Portuguese. Other documents can be in English;
5. The product must have an identification plate, which should include the following information: ANATEL logo certification number (barcode); Manufacturer's name; Manufacturing year; model; Serial number; Distributor's registration number.
