Introduction

Introduction to E-MARK Certification E-Mark, also known as the European Common Market, requires compliance with EU regulations and Economic Commission for Europe rules regarding automotive locomotives and their safety spare parts, noise, and exhaust gases. Products must meet certification requirements and be awarded a certificate of conformity to ensure safe driving and environmental protection. E-Mark is awarded different numbers depending on the certification country, for example, when applying to Luxembourg, the E-Mark logo is E13/e13.

It is a certification mark for motor vehicles, safety components, and systems that the European Commission mandates member states to use in accordance with EU directives. The testing agency must be a technical service agency within an EU member state, and the certification agency must be the transportation department of the EU member state government. Products that have obtained the e-Mark certification will be recognized by all EU member states. Like the E-mark certification, certificates from each member state have corresponding numbers:

Applicable product scope

1. Whole vehicle - refers to electric vehicles with two or more wheels, such as buses, trucks, motorcycles, buses, and off-road vehicles.

2. Automotive spare parts components - car lights and bulbs, various mirrors, tires, wheels, brakes, horns, anti-theft devices, seat belts

Automotive glass and exhaust pipes, etc.

3. Automobile and locomotive accessories - safety helmets, child safety seats, interior electrical products, etc.

Application Process

1. Manufacturers prepare technical data and samples;

2. Conduct testing;

3. First application requires factory inspection; Manufacturers who have obtained quality system certificates such as ISO9000 issued by EU certification bodies are generally not required to conduct factory inspections;

4. Test report and manufacturer's technical data submitted for review;

5. European national transportation departments issue certificates (issuing agencies may conduct regular or irregular factory inspections on certified product manufacturers).

A03 Contract signed between the applicant and the manufacturer (if the manufacturer is different from the applicant, it needs to be filled in, otherwise it will not be filled in)

A04 Authorization Letter (required)

A06 Product Consistency Declaration (Multiple models need to be filled in, otherwise not filled in)

A07 Trademark User Manual (to be filled in by the applicant when using a non self owned brand, otherwise not filled in)

A10 Manufacturer ISO Certificate (If no ISO certificate is available, factory inspection is required)
