Introduction

The National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) of the Philippines is responsible for regulating wireless and telecommunications services in the country. All wireless and telecommunications products entering the Philippine market must obtain NTC certification and licensing from the Philippines.

The application process takes approximately 3-4 weeks

Certification classification

NTC certification is divided into two methods: Type Approval and Type Acceptance:

1. Type Approval applies to telecommunications products such as telephones, fax machines, etc.

2. Type Acceptance applies to wireless products.

NTC accepts EMC&RF&SELECOM test reports for CE, FCC, IC, C-tick and other standards, and obtains CB or NB recognized safety compliance reports.

Applicable product scope

NTC certification is a wireless certification in the Philippines, aimed at telecommunications equipment and terminal devices. The existing mandatory specifications for mobile communication products have been expanded to include wireless related products.

Application Process

1. Fill out the application form and authorization letter

2. The customer signs back the authorization letter and submits the relevant test report

3. Submit official application

4. Official review and sending review emails to the laboratory responsible for issuing the report

d. Safety report (Short distance communication SRD products accept CE-LVD report)

e. SAR Report - (Mobile Phone and SoC Tablet)

Notes:

1. Except for RF reports, other test reports should be based on the final product;

2. For RF reports, the RF report of the module can replace the RF report of the final product;

3. Priority of RF part: Module NTC certificate>FCC report>CE report.
