Introduction

ENEC (European Norms Electrical Certification) is a certification program of CENELEC (European Commission for Electrical Standardization), which is a general European standard used for products that meet specific and European standards, such as lighting equipment, components, and office&data equipment. Each European country has its own national certification mark. ENEC is a safety certification mark that covers the entire Europe.

As a valuable supplement to the CE mark, the European Standard Electrical Certification (ENEC) program has been widely recognized in the European Union. The European Standard Electrical Certification (ENEC) program is authorized by the European Electrical Product Certification Association, allowing manufacturers and importers to clearly demonstrate their compliance with European Standard (EN) related product safety requirements through independent third-party testing laboratories. Due to the fact that ENEC certification must be issued by a professionally designated third-party organization, ENEC is a more valuable and trustworthy certification mark compared to the mandatory CE mark based on manufacturer's self declaration in Europe.

ENEC certification also includes audits of production plants and annual sampling tests to ensure that products continue to comply with European standards.

Zone of application

The ENEC logo is unconditionally accepted and recognized by at least 20 European countries, such as Austria, the United Kingdom, Norway, Belgium, Greece, Portugal, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovenia, Denmark, Ireland, Spain, Finland, Italy, Sweden, France, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Germany, and the Netherlands.
